Snarky Moose BYO Hardware Processing Agreement

Welcome to the Snarky Moose Bring Your Own (BYO) Hardware Processing program. By utilizing our inbound logistics and precision laser processing services for hardware you supply, you agree to the following operational terms.

1. Material Risk & Liability Waiver

Laser engraving relies on precision thermal ablation. While our systems are calibrated for high-end hardware, third-party manufacturer finishes (powders, cerakotes, paints) vary wildly in chemical composition and adhesion. Unexpected reactions—such as micro-chipping, discoloration, or thermal warping—can occur.

Snarky Moose accepts zero financial liability for the replacement cost of any customer-supplied hardware. By submitting your items, you accept the risk of aesthetic or structural material failure.

2. Inbound Logistics & Tariffs

You are solely responsible for securely packaging and shipping your hardware to our facility. Snarky Moose is not liable for items lost, stolen, or damaged in transit to our studio. Any cross-border shipments must be sent with duties and taxes pre-paid (DDP). Shipments arriving with duties owed will be rejected.

3. Return Transit Insurance

Our standard return shipping does not cover the retail value of your custom hardware unless you explicitly select a Return Transit Insurance tier during checkout. If a package is lost or damaged during outbound transit back to you, reimbursement is strictly limited to the insurance tier purchased.

4. Hygiene & Sanitization

All hardware must arrive in brand-new condition or be thoroughly washed. Items arriving with biological residue (e.g., coffee, mold, dirt) will be subjected to a mandatory professional sanitization fee, or returned unprocessed at the customer's expense.
